Gia has been invited as a guest artist to this year’s Region One KCACTF (Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival) as a festival judge, in Durham, New Hampshire, January 26th- 31, 2010. She will be one of two professional SDC guest directors invited to jury the work of 3 undergraduate student directors in the New England region, choosing the finalist who will then go on to the final round in spring 2010, at The Kennedy Center, in Washington,DC.
While at the festival, Gia will be leading a workshop for a wide selection of University and College Theater Professors and Dept Chairs in One-Thought-One-Action© (OTOA©) the acting technique she has been developing and implementing in all her work since graduating Yale School of Drama in 2004. American Theatre Magazine’s April Production Notebook (pg 50) features Wickets, directed by Glove Galilee and Jenny Rogers. Jenny Rogers designed the set and video. I designed the lighting. It was a wonderful production at 3LD Art & Technology Center in Downtown NYC this past January and there is a possibility that the production will be remounted. -Burke
