Recent lighting design projects include Arcadia (Folger Theatre), American Buffalo (Theatre Exile), Scorched (Wilma Theater), Murderers (Asolo Rep), ReENTRY (Two River Theatre), My Name is Asher Lev (Arden Theatre), A Year with Frog and Toad (Two River Theater), Two Rooms (Lion Theatre, NY), Five Fingers of Funk (Children’s Theatre Company), Twelfth Night (Cal Shakes). 

 

Other theatre credits include: CENTERSTAGE, Syracuse Stage, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Signature Theater Company, Media Theatre, Berkshire Opera, Delaware Theatre Company, York Theatre, Summer Play Festival, 37 ARTS, Spoleto Festival USA, City Theatre, Pittsburgh Public Theatre, and Yale Rep. 

 

Frequent collaborators include Aaron Posner, Jackson Gay, Martha Banta, Matt Pfeiffer, Blanka Zizka, Mark Rucker, Matt Saunders, Derrick Sanders, Dylan McCulluogh, KJ Sanchez, and Peter Flynn.  

 

Awards include the 2007 Best Lighting Design AUDELCO Award for Signature Theater’s King Hedley II, and the 2003 Entertainment Design Magazine Tyro Talent award. 

 

Mr. Weaver is also the author of the upcoming full-length play, A Ballplayer and the musical Zack and Addie, and serves on the dramaturgical staff of PlayPENN. 

 

Some upcoming design projects include Betrayal at the Hangar, Athol Fugard’s Coming Home for the Wilma Theatre, 26 Miles by Quiara Alegria Hudes at Two River Theater and Roundhouse, and Blue Door for the Arden Theater directed by Walter Dallas. 

 

He received his B.F.A. from Carnegie Mellon University and his M.F.A. from Yale School of Drama.
