Our work represents bold, inventive, and dramatic solutions to the stories that we play out on the stage, screen, and in our daily lives. The convergence of ideas and disciplines allows for the creation of projects that are greater than the sum of their parts.

We are a Brooklyn-based collective dedicated to pushing the boundaries of contemporary theatrical design.

Theater is a collaborative endeavor that is a means for a critical vision of the world, as well as a proposal for a different one. In 2005, a group of designers, directors and dramaturgs banded together to find a home for the process of such critical possibilities. Wingspace members are award-winning designers in theater, dance and opera, as well as film, fashion and web design. Their work can be seen nationally and internationally.

Wingspace began as an idea, then became a virtual space to think and see, and now is a place for you to come and meet fourteen of the most exciting theater-makers. Welcome.
