Christine Mok Dramaturgy and Dramatic Criticism

Christine Mok is scholar and dramaturg. She is a doctoral candidate at the Yale School of Drama, where she is writing her dissertation on anti-theatricality in transnational Asian-American drama. She has worked as a dramaturg at the Yale Repertory Theater, Yale School of Drama, Yale Cabaret, and La MaMa.

Her most recent dramaturgy credits include Zero Hour directed by Tea Alagic (Yale), and Beautiful Day by A. Rey Pamatmat (Ma-Yi).

Her most recent Wingspace collaborations include Manjula Padmanabhan’s Harvest (La MaMa) and Rolin Jones’ The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow (Yale Rep).

She is currently working on an opera about Captain Cook and curating an accompanying exhibition that will tour the British Museum and the Yale Center for British Art where she is a Mellon Foundation fellow.

She is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Theater at Wesleyan University. She holds a BA from Dartmouth College and an MFA in Dramaturgy and Dramatic Criticism from the Yale School of Drama.
